Parish Pastoral Council

The Parish pastoral Council meet regularly with the parish priest as a consultative body to assist in the ongoing planning and development of the parish community. The members of the council are representatives from the different areas of parish life.

3rd World Group

The 3rd World group works to provides spiritual and practical help for people in the Third world. At present their main project is supporting as school in Madagascar.  For more information please see the "Helping Others" section.


RCIA

The RCIA group is a small group of people who help those preparing to be received into the Catholic Church on their faith journey.  The group meet regularly to discuss our understanding of the Catholic faith and the teaching of the Catholic Church.

Anyone is welcome to join this group, even those who are already Catholic and would like to learn a bit more about their faith.

Choirs

The parish has a small choir who lead the singing at the Vigil mass and a larger choir who lead the singing on a Sunday.  Both choirs would love to welcome new members.

Spred

SPRED is a parish based spiritual programme that exists to nurture and nourish faith in people with learning disabilities.   Every person who joins SPRED is called both to learn more about their faith and share with other people the faith they already possess.  As SPRED is a journey more can always be learned and shared.  Central to SPRED is forming relationships. 

Our Spred group meet on a Tuesday evening in the Parish Hall.

Children's Liturgy group.

The children's liturgy group enable children of primary school age to hear and understand the Word of God in an age appropriate setting.

Junior Youth Group

The Junior youth group meet on a Monday night from 7pm – 8:30pm.

Senior youth group

The senior youth group meet in the parish house on Sunday evening from 7pm -9pm.

Social Committee

The social committee exists to build up the social life of the parish through organising a variety of social events throughout the year. Some recent events have been A Prize Bingo night, a Quiz Night, and a plant sale.

Coffee mornings

On Tuesdays and Thursdays there is a coffee morning in the hall after mass. This is a great opportunity for parishioners and members of the local community to meet up for a chat and a coffee.

On Sundays Hot Filled Rolls as well as tea and coffee are served in the hall after mass.

Indoor Bowling

A small team of bowlers meet on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for indoor bowls in the parish hall.

Alcoholics Anonymous

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

Every Wednesday there is a meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous in the Parish Hall.
